What is the Suzuki method?
In the 1930s, Dr. Shinichi Suzuki developed a vision for educating children in a positive learning environment while surrounding them with some of the world’s most beautiful music. Through listening to music daily, constant repetition by imitation, and praise and encouragement, children’s skills are developed, while their love for music builds poise and confidence.
What to Expect
Chacon String Studio provides violin lessons for students by employing the Suzuki method and other traditional techniques. Students will receive a weekly private lesson in an environment where they are set up for success every step of the way. Note reading skills, tone production, solo work and other various techniques will be included during the lessons.
“Teaching music is not my main purpose. I want to make good citizens. If children hear fine music from the day of their birth and learn to play it, they develop sensitivity, discipline and endurance. They develop a beautiful heart.” – Dr. Shinichi Suzuki
